3. Are the seeds suited to the Reseller’s region?

Australian Wildflower Seed Product Native Regions and Compatible Climates

The table below attempts to provide a pointer to the climatic regions most suited to growing the seed varieties shown. Many of the seeds are very adaptable and can be grown successfully in a wider climatic range, by following the sowing instructions and given the right care from the grower.

Many people have successfully grown Australian native plants from seed in European, North American, South African and North-east Asian climates, outdoors and in greenhouses, depending on local conditions.

5. Special orders and other seeds

Bulk Seed Orders:
We can obtain Australian Wildflower Seeds in bulk amounts, depending on seasonal availability. Please contact us (email, phone or fax) to discuss any bulk seed requirements.

Various countries outside Australia may require a Phytosanitary Inspection Certificate and/or an Import Permit to accompany a bulk seed consignment. We can arrange a seed inspection and Certificate upon receipt of a firm order.

Seeds Outside our Pre-packaged Range
Should a reseller wish to obtain seeds of Australian native plants that are not included in our presentation range please email us a list of those seeds – preferably using their botanic names, if known.

Our company is able to source an extensive range of Australian seeds and we would be happy to try to locate them for you.

The seeds are normally supplied in small sealed clear plastic packets containing a sample of the particular seed species. The packets may contain 20 – 100 seeds (for smaller or less expensive seeds) or just a few seeds (for larger or more expensive seeds). Small – medium bulk quantities can be arranged on request.

Once your requested seeds are located we will forward a quotation showing all costs, postage, etc,

Shipment within Australia usually will not present any difficulty, however international shipment may require attention to your local import regulations.

See Taking Our Seed Products Interstate or Overseas below.

We have provided this service for many customers over the years and many have reported great success. We trust this extension of our range of seeds will be of value to you.

Please feel free to contact us with your list.

6. Taking our seed product interstate or overseas

Within Australia:
Our seed packets can be safely and legally transported from Western Australia (our home location) to any State in Australia – and between any of the eastern States.

To Countries Outside Australia:

To the best of our knowledge our seed products can be taken into most other countries without any issues. However, some countries impose restrictions on the importation of viable plant material, including seeds.

We cannot know the import regulations of all the 200+ countries in the world or changes to their regulations that may occur at any time in any of those countries.

Should people travelling to other countries ask about taking the seeds with them, we suggest that you might:
(a) point out to the traveler that the seeds are sealed in foil sachets for protection and that most countries (especially Euro-zone) have no problem with the seeds in “tourist quantities”; and

(b) advise them that they should check the import regulations of the destination country if possible before travelling and be prepared to declare the seeds at the point of entry.

In general: It remains the responsibility of the end-customer or a reseller outside Australia to ascertain the conditions applying in their home country. Australian Wildflower Seeds Pty Ltd can accept no responsibility for seeds delayed or impounded due to a breach of your country’s regulations.

New Zealand
Has strict controls on the entry of seeds, in small or large quantities.
All of our seed types (except WA Christmas Tree and Banks’ Grevillea – as marked on the packets) are approved for entry to NZ as per the Permitted List maintained by the NZ Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. NOTE: this is correct at the time of publication.

Resellers in NZ wishing to order our seed products should check the MAF regulations to satisfy themselves prior to placing a firm order.

Just occasionally we receive a letter from a NZ traveller advising that NZ Customs confiscated some packets of our seeds. Travelers taking our seeds to New Zealand should declare the seeds and if questions arise, ask the official to check the species name on the front of the packet against the Permitted List.

United States of America
Many people take our seeds into the USA without incident. However, a small handful of travellers have advised us of a difficulty on their return to the USA with some of our seeds. Our check of available on-line regulations for the USA showed that regulations in the USA appear to vary from State to State and species to species.

Travelers entering the USA with our seeds are advised to check carefully the regulations for their port of entry AND their destination State and the particular seed species.

Resellers wishing to order our seed products should do the same prior to placing a firm order.

Europe and United Kingdom
We have experienced no difficulties in shipping our pre-packaged seed products to resellers or individuals in a range of countries in Europe or to the UK – and we ship there many times each year. Should any reseller become aware of any special requirements for importing our seed products to their country, please raise this with us and we will do what we can at the Australian end to meet those requirements.

Other Countries
We have previously shipped our pre-packaged seed products to resellers or individuals in a range of countries in Asia and North America and to South Africa without any difficulties. Should any reseller become aware of any special requirements for importing our seed products to their country, please raise this with us and we will do what we can at the Australian end to meet those requirements.

In general: It remains the responsibility of the end-customer or a reseller outside Australia to ascertain the conditions applying in their home country. Australian Wildflower Seeds Pty Ltd can accept no responsibility for seeds delayed or impounded due to a breach of your country’s regulations.

8. Custom Reseller Products Offered.

On request from a Reseller, we may be able to obtain any of a small range of books, posters and other items related to Australian plants and animals to be packaged with any of our standard products, to make up a special gift or souvenir for resale to an end-customer.
